OMG Acres is comprised of 330 acres in the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians between the Shenandoah and Alleghany Mountains in beautiful Pendleton County, West Virginia. It includes a 1/2 mile of river frontage along the South Fork of the South Branch of the Potomac River, 40 acres for grazing cattle, and over 280 acres of woodlands.
We became stewards of this amazing place in 2017 with our dear friend, Mark, who sadly passed away in November of 2022. Other stewards of this land include the Manahoac and Shawandasse Tule tribes, the Trumbo family (1770s), and the May family (early 1900s).
We chose to call this place OMG Acres for the first letter of the three co-owners' last names – as well as ‘Oh My Gawd’ for the sanctuary it offers from society’s craziness that too often carries us away from what is truly important and meaningful.
We've spent the past few years preserving and renovating all the structures on the property that include an old farmhouse, historic log cabin, river cabin, barn, and church. We also added a Hilltop House and Cocktail Garden. And we did a ton of tidying and landscaping, along with clearing 5+ miles of hiking trails.
In 2020, we placed the property under a conservation easement with the West Virginia Land Trust to ensure that as our land continues to evolve, it will always be a place that supports healthy forests, wildlife habitat, and sustainable farming. Mark also set up the Mark Mueller Conservation Fund with the WV Land Trust before he passed away to protect and restore other forests, farms, and wild places in our area.
In 2025, we became a certified West Virginia Agritourism operator, and hosted our first farm crawl and wedding!
We look forward to sharing the beauty and peacefulness of this special place with you. May your visit here help you find a deeper sense of connection with nature, yourself, and each other!
